Architected and built a real-time analytics platform backend in AWS using Golang servers, Spark Structured Streaming, and Databricks (Apache Spark/Hive/Parquet) for 30+ mobile gaming titles with considerations for security, monitoring, and data governance best practices.
Built a robust data ingestion and ETL pipeline for 100+ internal and third party data sources using a scalable Apache Airflow cluster and Databricks in AWS to support the growing needs of the Data Science and User Acquisition teams.
Built an internal operations testing and monitoring platform using Prometheus (& Pushgateway), Grafana, Locust, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Jenkins.
Designed and built a secure, GDPR-compliant backend implementation for internal analytics SDK and player data.

Data Science Intern - Summer 2014

Implemented machine learning algorithms and natural language processing techniques into a predictive model for customer churn based on contents of customer tech support chat conversations.
Created a model-appropriate dataset consisting of hundreds of thousands of customer tech support chat conversations and hundreds of customer attributes.
Integrated predictive model into the customer relations management system in order to immediately identify and act on customers with a high propensity to churn.

Direction-of-arrival estimation algorithms

Advanced Sensors Intern - Summer 2011, 2012, 2013

Performed analytical derivations for the Copy Correlation Test Statistic, a spectral estimator used in direction of arrival estimation of planewave signals in cochannel interference.
Designed computational experiments to validate its mean squared error performance in a variety of settings using MATLAB.
Published and presented results at two IEEE signal processing conferences.

Performed in-depth forensic investigation on a failed bridge in Brooklyn.

PyPIStats.org Star

An analytics dashboard and JSON API for viewing aggregate download stats on python packages available on pypi.org via Google BigQuery.
Built in Python 3 using Flask, Celery, and redis with plotly.js for visualization, GitHub OAuth for user authentication, and PostgreSQL backend. Deployed to Google Cloud on Kubernetes.
Provides aggregate downloads segmented by Python versions, operating systems, and repository mirrors.
